The WLA’s 2022 International Women’s Day Conference went off with a bang.

To all who came and made the event so special, we thank you. And to everyone who worked so hard to make the IWD2022 Conference one to remember – speakers, ambassadors, masterclass hosts, panellists, SHINE Awards judges, fundraising representatives Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation and Microloan Foundation – a special thank you to you.

We had fun creating and directing the entire marketing campaign, from conception and strategy to execution, a healthy mix of public relations, marketing, brand positioning, editorial and design. It was brilliant working alongside The WLA team to create such an exciting celebration of IWD.

The event had representatives from several industry leaders, including headline sponsors Hitachi Energy and Sir Robert McAlpine, award sponsors Quorn Foods, Stanmore Insurance and Vimto, and speakers such as Sharon Thorne, Deloitte Global Board Chair, Kate Richardson-Walsh OBE, captain of the GB and England women’s hockey teams for 13 years. Tickets sold-out in the first three weeks, after which we released a second round of tickets to accommodate ongoing demand.

The feedback we received was overwhelming, reams of comments, likes and shares on social media and other channels through which we marketed the event.
